In partnership with the Lapeer County ISD, Lapeer EMS will establish two EMS education academies to train students as licensed emergency medical technicians, addressing the significant job openings for EMS professionals in Michigan. The program aims to minimize barriers to entry by offering mentoring support and preparing students for careers in the medical field, including specialized training for senior citizen care to improve access to EMS services for the elderly.
