In 2026, we are launching a new Healthy Kids Initiative to complement our long-standing Healthy Aging Initiative and align our investments with the populations named in our mission.
Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy. This initiative will focus on the experiences that shape a child’s life from before birth through young adulthood, and our initial investments will be in three areas: Healthy Start, Healthy Families, and Healthy Schools.
- Healthy Start: Enhancing maternal and infant health outcomes and promoting early childhood health and development.
- Healthy Families: Improving children’s health through access to comprehensive pediatric and behavioral health care and effective support services for their families.
- Healthy Schools: Improving health outcomes through school-based services, healthy learning environments, and increased access to nutrition and physical activity.
Nutritious food, opportunities for active living, and healthy communities where kids develop all play a critical role in lifelong well-being. Behavioral health care remains a priority with a focus on expanding access to services, addressing substance use risks, and enhancing overall well-being for children and their families.
More details on our Healthy Kids grantmaking priorities will be shared ahead of the launch of our RFPs in spring 2026.
