Through this grant, Child and Family Charities (CFC) will be trained in the evidence-based Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) as a tool to help foster/adoptive and biological parents learn to connect to their child through a trauma-informed strength-based lens. In year one of this project, TBRI training will be provided to a team of CFC’s child welfare staff and therapists that work with children and parents in foster care and adoption programs. In year two, TBRI training will be offered to foster parents, biological parents who are going through family reunification, DHHS employees, CASA for Kids volunteers and others who work with children in foster care.
