The goal of the Maternal & Infant Health Initiative is to reduce disparities, increase access to care, and improve outcomes for infants and their mothers. The Health Fund makes grant investments through the initiative to support community-driven, locally focused projects that incorporate at least one of three priority categories:
- Address service delivery environment barriers to improve access to equitable health care
- Increase access to protective and clinical interventions
- Address targeted policies, practices, and procedures at the local or practice level that impact or prohibit the best outcomes for mothers and infants.
