Past Grants

Through this grant, Spectrum Health Foundation, in partnership with 40 school districts located throughout West Michigan, will expand the Suicide S.A.F.E. Team Response: Blue Envelope Program, a comprehensive, school-based, suicide prevention, and crisis response program. The training includes general awareness and process education for all staff and targeted evidence-based interventions for staff such as social workers, nurses, and principals, involved in the immediate care of the at-risk student. Schools will also be guided to update policies and map out community resources to ensure students receive follow-up and crisis care outside of the school setting.
