The Southeast Michigan Alliance for Addiction-Free Communities (SEMAAC) coalition is seeking support in coordinating and promoting the work of the collaborative and in creating a solid foundation to coordinate and align efforts with other organizations seeking to assist those who are struggling with substance use disorder in Southeast Michigan. This funding will allow SEMAAC to grow their membership and formalize their committee structure, develop a mission statement, build their website, identify current barriers to partners working together, identify data sources on substance use disorder in Southeast Michigan, determine early performance indicators to help with evaluation, determine community needs to inform the direction of SEMAAC’s initiatives, and share data between coalition members. In addition to organizational members, SEMAAC will also ensure that the recovery community and a diverse subset of community members are also included so that community voice will be represented through their initiatives.
