LAAN will address the lack of LGBTQ+-friendly behavioral health clinicians in the area by establishing a sustaining service delivery program aimed at individuals not currently treated by other local providers. Licensed clinicians with population-specific practice experience will provide affirming evidence-based therapies while addressing inequities in the service delivery system. The medical case management model will be integrated with the new mental health service (in-person and via telehealth) to advance LAAN’sholistic approach to client care, resulting in the following outcomes: improved adherence to HIV medication, reduced mental distress, reduced depressive symptoms, reduced anxiety, and improved mood.
