This funding will allow Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance (MiCHWA) to create two playbooks to address organizational needs identified during their board retreat in 2021. The first playbook will focus on implementing a membership structure that supports organizational sustainability by assessing the current value of their products and services; understanding the perceived value of membership from CHWs, employers, and allies; assessing funding policies and addressing gaps; and identifying opportunities to increase revenue. The second playbook will focus on governance and staffing structure by detailing what staff position are needed now and in the future to achieve MiCHWA’s goals; ensure accuracy of job descriptions and roles and responsibilities; and identifying areas of staff strength and opportunities for staff development. These playbooks will increase revenue and sustainability of MiCHWA and right size their staffing model to ensure they have the appropriate talent to move their mission forward.
