Through this project, Livingston County Community Mental Health Authority will train its Child and Adolescent Services staff in the underutilized treatment modality Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Program (EMDR), commonly used to treat trauma, to expand the quality of services offered to children in the community mental health system. The project has the potential to have a statewide impact if the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services endorses the use of EMDR in children and provides assistance with training.
