This initiative will address the current lack of coordination between multiple stakeholders concerning childhood overweight and obesity by creating a learning health system comprised of experts from health systems, community programs, and other stakeholder organizations. The Learning Health System will include a coordinated surveillance system for measuring the burden of overweight/obesity in the state, nutritional interventions for prevention and treatment of childhood overweight/obesity, and collaborative learning models for health systems, community partners, patients and families, and payors.
