Past Grants

The lack of pedestrian supportive infrastructure has led to an overwhelming majority of residents to noteFlint’s streets as a major concern associated with barriers to physical activity and limited access to healthy foods. This proposal seeks to refocus these infrastructure systems that impede the physical, social, and economic health of every Flint resident. The Crim Fitness Foundation (The Crim) will help Flint families build their individual capacity to successfully advocate for the health of their families and neighborhoods. This will be done through neighborhood improvement and zoning code education/advocacy, research on dangerous traffic conditions, and school-based garden committees.
