This project supports innovative, integrated, and individualized trauma-informed services and education for children in northern Michigan. The project team will create northern Michigan’s first Experiential Therapy Center and assemble a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide trauma-informed care to foster and adopted children, veterans, and other vulnerable populations. The project will also create a trauma-informed community, with educational sessions for teachers, social workers, law enforcement, probation officers, physicians, foster parents, biological parents, and other child-serving professionals.
