Ferris State University will investigate the effectiveness and feasibility of using a pharmacy as a hub for telehealth substance use disorder (SUD) services in a rural setting while also enhancing the role of clinical pharmacists in medication-assisted treatment plans. Central Michigan Recovery and Education Network will conduct a community study to better understand barriers to accessing SUD care in a three-county area where there is a demonstrated lack of providers. The study will engage with community members to learn more about barriers related to stigma, transportation, and other factors that limit someone’s ability to seek and continue treatment.
