Spectrum Health Lakeland Foundation will develop and create six pop-up art and wellness centers based on the Community Resilience Model (CRM), a skills-based approach comprised of six wellness skills, to address gaps in mental health prevention efforts targeted to children who have experienced trauma. The pop-ups will increase understanding of mental health, destigmatize mental illness, introduce the concept of resilience, and invite youth and adolescents to participate in hands-on, arts-based activities that provide them with opportunities to practice and build resiliency skills.
