Past Grants

This grant will support the addition of a police social worker (PSW) to the City of Newaygo Police Department (NPD) through this project. A PSW is a specialized social worker working alongside law enforcement assisting community members with accessing behavioral health resources and services, assisting with mental health/substance-related crises, and helping law enforcement process traumatic experiences. It is expected this will reduce rates of recidivism, reduce recurring calls, and increase access to services for individualized behavioral health needs for the community.
