The Calhoun County Opioid Coalition aims to reduce opioid-related fetal overdoses and establish a community opioid dashboard and resource network as a foundation for improvement efforts in Calhoun County. The coalition will employ a targeted opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution (OEND) program at the Summit Pointe Recovery Center, a facility which serves at-risk clients for opioid overdose. OEND will be administered by peer recovery coaches who may engender more rapport with clients than the traditional healthcare system.
