Past Grants

The primary goal of this project is to improve health and wellness outcomes for youth and families in Metro Detroit by increasing access to fresh produce in underserved communities and providing nutrition and cooking education to empower the target population to select fresh ingredients and prepare healthy meals. Eastern Market will join with three partners (City of Detroit Parks and Recreation Department, Detroit Public Schools Community District, and Keep Growing Detroit) to embed food access and education into neighborhood revitalization efforts, parks and recreation programming, and classroom learning.
