This program will elevate the capacity and diversity of the lactation field in the state of Michigan to provide culturally sensitive professional lactation support and address significant shortages of internationally board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) in Michigan. The Mother Nurture Lactation College will create a new accreditation program for IBCLCs and work with hospitals and health systems to replicate the model across Michigan.
