The Community Foundation for the Upper Peninsula will improve access to mental health services for children and adolescents in the UP, with a focus on the Native American population and students with co-occurring disorders or those at risk for suicide. The program will provide cultural competence training for mental health providers and develop a coordinated support system between schools, mental health organizations, and community agencies to provide expanded, effective treatment options for students.
