The Health Fund’s Michigan Food Environment Scan demonstrated that Saginaw and the surrounding communities were a high need area with low resources specific to food access. The Michigan Health Improvement Alliance’s THRIVE initiative will engage stakeholders to advance its regional food system improvement intervention and develop customized, regional plans to improve food production, distribution, processing, and policies in the identified geography.
