After a successful collaborative grant and process, The Kent County Health Department (KCHD) plans to utilize Health Fund support to provide mini-grants to community-based organizations (CBOs) focused on priority health issues and community health equity, particularly for historically marginalized populations. Community Voice Representatives will evaluate proposals, prioritizing projects that aim to improve police-community interactions, enhance safety for K-12 students, reduce mental health stigma, and increase access to housing, food, medical care, and health insurance.
