Past Grants

United Way of Midland County, in partnership with United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties, United Way Saginaw, and United Way of Bay County, is seeking support to work with a consultant and other community partners to determine the capacity for a shared application, consistent outcomes training and definitions, shared prioritized issue areas, uniform mechanisms for measurement, and shared centralized data points. This will result in a streamlined process for not only the partners that report to more than one United Way, but also give the four United Ways a clearer picture of the challenges within the Great Lakes Bay Region. By streamlining application and reporting processes across the Great Lakes Bay Region, not only will partner organizations be able to dedicate more time to serving, but this will also allow the four United Ways to have a clear picture of where their time, funding and volunteer efforts can make the most impact. This capacity building project will be a preliminary fact-finding mission to see how they can use their available resources and learn what additional resources are needed to meet their mission and help their partners meet theirs.
