The Community Foundation of Greater Flint will align the local food system with Flint’s Master Plan and improve access to high-quality affordable food to build a healthier community and mitigate the effects of lead in children. There are three components to the project: (1) expand the Flint Fresh Mobile Market; (2) pilot a culturally appropriate nutrition program, Nutrition in Community; and (3) build capacity for Edible Flint for urban gardening.
