Past Grants

Through this grant, the American Heart Association (AHA) will recruit and train volunteers from Second Ebenezer Church’s congregation in Detroit to provide evidence based AHA education and support module, “Check It, Change It”, to create a personal understanding of cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and hypertension. The AHA will work with this community to improve health disparities that are result of environment and lifestyle and will also focus on improving the chain of survival to improve survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
