Past Grants

Community Action House and Harvest Stand Ministries will form a strategic alliance, Lakeshore Food Rescue, to combine their food rescue and local farm produce acquisition operations. This strategic alliance will serve the community by reducing duplication, enhancing collaboration among food assistance providers, and expanding local healthy food access. It will also build the organizations’ capacity for joint operations, and create a database to track sources and pipelines and a communications infrastructure to promote these shared services. Finally, this support will improve management of perishable foods and be an efficient local source for limiting food waste by grocery stores and farmers.
