Past Grants

To improve access to healthy food in rural Alpena, this project will focus on the planning for a community-owned food co-op that prioritizes local produce, accepts SNAP benefits, and is walkable and transit-accessible. Community members will shape the co-op’s design and operations through surveys and meetings, ensuring it meets the needs of older adults and low-income residents in Alpena and surrounding counties.
