Support a collaborative funding effort that will prepare three schools in Houghton County to implement and sustain farm to school programs to increase availability of fresh, local produce during the school day. This funding will provide technical support to establish the program and build capacity to implement and sustain farm to school efforts. A secondary objective of this initial pilot will be to develop an open-source framework for other schools within the CSCHF region to conduct a self-evaluation and plan for their own farm to school efforts.
