Past Grants

The Health Department of Northwest Michigan is requesting support to conduct a public perception assessment to better understand and address the negative perceptions toward the agency that developed during the pandemic. This project will take a multi-faceted approach by: 1) forming a Citizen Advisory Committee of residents from throughout the jurisdiction; 2) conducting a public perception survey which will be accessible to a wide scope of residents and community leaders through social media, print version in libraries, city halls, and county buildings (where many people have gone to express frustration about the health mandates related to Covid-19), service clubs, and to those who previously opted into the agency’s email lists during the pandemic; and 3) working with a public health communications consultant who will plan, moderate, and report the findings of four public listening sessions, one in each of the counties they serve.
