Built off the resident-based model incorporated within their COVID-19 Rapid Response racial disparity work, Residents in Action (RiA) intends to address the root causes of food insecurity among Black children in Jackson. Through a deep level of civic engagement, this project will engage the community to develop solutions to address the root causes of food insecurity among Black children in Jackson by creating long-term sustainable improvements in the health of resource-poor communities
