Past Grants

This grant supports expanding Youth Empowering Services (Y.E.S.) programming into six additional schools, providing mentorship and social-emotional support to more youth. Based on the successful pilot year, which showed significant improvements in attitudes towards school, outlook about the future, self-confidence, and decreased likelihood of engaging in risky behaviors, the program utilizes weekly group and one-on-one mentoring sessions focusing on trust-building activities and monthly themes to foster positive communication and relationships in a safe environment, guided by recommendations from teachers, parents, mentors, and students.
