Past Grants

To improve health and expand safe non-motorized transportation options in Downriver communities, this project will design a seven-mile walking and biking route along West Jefferson Avenue, connecting Ecorse, Wyandotte, Riverview, and Trenton to regional and statewide trail networks. The plan will address high obesity rates and limited infrastructure by creating safe links to parks, the Detroit River, and other community assets, guided by resident input.
