To ensure equitable access to active transportation funding in underserved rural communities, the West Michigan Trails initiative will streamline the planning and pre-development process for trail projects in an 18-county region. By supporting the Indiana-Michigan River Valley Trail and Van-Cass Heritage Trail, this initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity, encourage sustainable physical activity, and secure long-term funding for critical infrastructure improvements that promote health and connectivity.
