Past Grants

To reduce food waste and improve access to healthy food for older adults in low-income housing, this project will develop small on-site distribution areas in 8 to 10 residential buildings, stocked weekly with rescued produce, bread, and other staples, while creating a model for replication. Serving over 600 residents, these hubs will eliminate barriers like transportation and cost while offering foods that reflect the cultural traditions and preferences of each building’s community.
