To enhance food security and improve health outcomes in Michigan, the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) will strengthen Produce Prescription (PPR) programs by developing a strategic plan for a technical assistance center building capacity among community organizations, increasing collaboration with Medicaid Health Plans, and embedding these services into healthcare payment models. This initiative will empower community organizations to better navigate Medicaid guidelines, enhancing their ability to deliver impactful food-based health interventions.
