Through this grant, the University of Michigan will develop an affordable and sustainable telepharmacy model to help pharmacy technicians optimize safe medication use by older adults. The team will use telemedicine technology to communicate with older adults and their caregivers; assess accuracy of medication lists and the potential for adverse reactions; and identify any cognitive, health literacy, and physical abilities that would impair an older adult’s ability to self-manage medications.
