To increase access to nutritious food for children, seniors, and families in Michigan, the West Michigan Food Processing Association will develop a strategy to expand institutional sourcing from local growers, including small and minority-owned farms. This initiative will connect farmers with new markets such as schools, senior centers and retail settings, while gathering input from a wide range of stakeholders to ensure broad community and industry engagement.
