This project’s primary aim is to empower older adults and individuals with disabilities by connecting them to legal alternatives and services, safeguarding their autonomy and preventing restrictive guardianships. By implementing 3-5 pilot projects in select Michigan counties, the initiative seeks to establish a replicable model, reducing unnecessary guardianships and ensuring vulnerable individuals have access to essential resources for a dignified and high-quality life.
