Oakland Family Services seeks to address the service gap in prenatal care in low income and Black,Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in Oakland County by adding the MaternalInfant Health Program (MIHP) to serve Medicaid-eligible families with holistic home-visiting services to support healthy babies. The program will work to identify as many mothers and infants as possible with its systematic risk screening to serve them with evidence-based interventions and case management to reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity. In some cases, women participating in MIHP will serve as consultants for program planning. MIHP beneficiaries are also invited to participate in two Consumer Satisfaction Surveys distributed in the spring and the fall to provide feedback.
