To improve access to maternal and infant health services in Midland County, this project will expand in-home visits to provide both Early Head Start (EHS) and WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) for families encountering service access obstacles. By hiring a WIC Nutrition Counselor and Breastfeeding Coordinator, identifying eligible families, and ensuring continuous monitoring, this project aims to demonstrate the benefits of combining these services in rural communities, leading to improved maternal and infant health outcomes and informing future sustainability endeavors.
