This project will support the planning and engineering design of a non-motorized trail network that connects underserved communities in Mount Clemens, Harrison Township, Clinton Township, and Chesterfield Township to over 1,200 acres of parkland and the Lake St. Clair shoreline. By overcoming major infrastructure barriers such as I-94, Gratiot Avenue (M-3), Groesbeck Highway, and the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, the initiative will improve access to parks, healthy food, and essential services—promoting sustainable physical activity and positioning Macomb County to secure future construction funding.
