The Michigan Health and Hospital Association Foundation aims to increase the state’s childhood immunization rates to national levels or better by 2023 by working with providers to create educational tools and resources about the effectiveness and safety of childhood immunizations that providers can use in discussions with parents. Increased childhood immunization rates will reduce infant mortality and promote resistance to disease among all community members, which will lead to reduced health care costs.
