To reduce disparities in maternity-related risks and health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum migrant and refugee individuals in Kalamazoo County, Western Michigan University aims to increase service accessibility through contracting translators and interpreters, training home visitors, and tailoring and translating educational materials to support culturally and linguistically diverse families, aiming to reach 200 families who previously lacked access to home visiting services.
