Huron Valley Ambulance will develop a replicable model for delivery of community paramedicine services with a return-on-investment tool. Community paramedicine allows emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to operate in expanded roles by assisting with public health, primary healthcare, and preventive services to underserved populations in the community. This project leverages previous grants from the Health Fund to launch Huron Valley Ambulance’s community paramedicine program as well as a statewide Special Projects and Emerging Ideas grant with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to develop a standardized curriculum.
