Be Healthy Berrien (BHB) aims to combat obesity and health disparities in Berrien County by improving access to nutritious food and promoting active living through community-led initiatives. To empower residents, the proposed Community Leadership Academy (CLA) will teach skills in community organizing and equitable collaboration, focusing initially on Benton Harbor with plans for future expansion, while also planning a pilot project to renovate the Bobo Brazil Community Center.
