This project will address community concerns within select Detroit neighborhoods and identify and mitigate existing air quality and health conditions and those that occur over time as a result of construction of the Gordie Howe Bridge in Detroit. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will set up three air quality monitoring systems, assess the baseline health of the population, develop data and analysis protocols to create a longitudinal data set, and develop new techniques for air data sampling and data integration.
