This project will create a mobile crisis unit to better address immediate behavioral health crises among children, thereby reducing utilization of hospital emergency departments for non-medical behavioral health crises and the number of inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations for children. Following the immediate crisis, staff will work with the children and family members to create a person-centered plan to address all facets of the child’s health, including consultation with clinicians and connection to social service agencies.
