Pontiac Community Foundation (PCF) aims to address health-related transportation on a systemic level in the City of Pontiac. In 2021, PCF launched M1 Mobility with the purchase of two 15-passenger transit vehicles dedicated to providing transportation to youth-serving organizations providing after-school programming in the City of Pontiac. This next iteration of M1 Mobility, focused on health-related transportation, will include the implementation of a Pontiac Transportation Task Force, a transportation study and strategic plan for the initiative, creation of a centralized hub for transportation support, and improving and expanding available transportation options. The Task Force will include community members and those being served by local community-based organizations and will hold town halls, conduct surveys, and find other opportunities to engage with the broader community on this solution.
